To Whom it May Concern: To allow a single organization such control over domain names is like a monopoly. Then to tell them they can increase our rates up to 70% in the next decade just because they gave you money is crazy. There are people out there still paying $40-50/yr for a domain name the way it is. Don't allow those people to have to pay $68-$85/yr for the same services. There are plenty of mom and pop shops out there that count every penny that they spend just to stay a float.
