Attention ICANN I am president and domain manager for our non-profit 501(C)3 which invests in domain names to fund our charitable activities. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The percentage of increase is appalling and usury. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price especially for such a quantum leap in their profits. Most of the .com registration process is entirely automated so Version has little relative costs. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.
