As the owner of many .com domains, I attest, any price increase per domain will place unnecessary hardship on my operations. If I am forced to decrease my holdings, the result will not benefit Verisign, as it will not benefit ICANN. If ICANN is established to govern the domain name system in the public interest, you cannot serve the public interest by succumbing to pressure by your contractors. I encourage you to stand against this threat. Let the current rate of $7.85 prevail.
