Hello, This contract leaves open the door for significant increases in the cost of .COM domain ownership, something that is already prohibitive. If Verisign is willing to pay $20 million to be able to increase their prices, I can’t even imagine how much profit they’re projecting. This is clearly an attempt to increase profit margins from a service that is wholly monopolized and should be publicly funded and owned. Public funds researched, developed, and built the internet as we know it. This is an anti-competitive decision that undermines the accessibility to and affordability of the internet. Please do not hijack it further in order to make even more money for yourselves. Justin
