I am a small/individual business who has registered a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The proposed annual increases are more than double the rate of inflation and income increases. Therefore the proposed rate increases are opportunistic and motived by something other than market forces. If Verisign cannot maintain .COM rates that follow in lockstep with the rest of the economy, provision of these services should be put out for bid so that competition can work for the consumer. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. . This proposal is in Verisign's interest and contrary to the public interest. Sincerely, Jarrod Smith
