Hello, Price caps on renewals are very important. When a person or company acquires a Domain, it becomes part of its branding. If domain renewal prices are free to be raised to any value, such persons or companies will be forced to suffer a brand change if they cannot afford the increase. All existing contacts would have to be notified of the change. All relevant web links too. This can become unmanageable.
