The new pricing model just shifting the rent seeking from domain squatters (who on the whole don’t own that many domains) to registrars (who can insert themselves into every transaction.) The proposal is worse for both content creators and internet users, in that it will lead to more URL rot and more opportunities for phishing-type fraud. Sent from my iPhone
