Hi all I read through the Section 2.3.5 and really appreciate that IP acknowledges the effort CGP have made in the past 5 years. The text precisely describes the challenges we have faced, the solutions we figured out and the rational behind them. On behalf of CGP, I'd like to thank IP worked closely with us through the entire process of the development of the proposal. Also, I wish good luck to JGP and KGP, whose repertoires cover thousands of Chinese code points as well, hope them will finalize their proposal soon. Best, Wei WANG

>From the time when the NBGP group began its journey to create LGR documents and related work for nine scripts under its purview to the current time when it has reached the current level to make it ready to be integrated with Root Zone LGR, a lot of water has flown down the Ganges, Beas, Narmada, and Cauvery. The variation of these are so much and innovations over the centuries of perfecting the letters have been so much that the whole work required a lot of inputs from linguists, epigraphers, literary historians, graphics specialists, and NLP specialists from the academia and industry. Our submissions of LGR at the first level did undergo a lot of comments and modifications from within the NBGP group. We were also greatly enriched by the serious questions and comments posted by the Integration Panel and International experts. We do understand that our challenges will be slightly widened at the second level what we now do will have a great impact on other scripts. With the addition of Bangla (and Chinese) to the already processed other eight South Asian scripts where Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka experts joined Indians and specialists from other countries, I think we have reached a stage that will benefit all. The popular use of this facility in Neo-Brahmi writing systems on the web will be very useful. Towards the next level, we hope to add the Indic digits as well as a hyphen. But that work is underway now. We are hopeful that the first level LGR, once integrated, will facilitate use of our scripts on the net for registry greatly. We are also grateful to all those who participated in the public comment stage earlier and now. The comment on behalf of Bill Jouris appears to request something that is already present: the list of cross-script variants, including all required by transitivity is present in the common (or merged) LGR file, which is linked from the overview. This file is created as part of the integration process, obviating the need to manually traverse all Element (script) LGRs for search of cross-script variant definitions.

Typo in Devanagari Root Zone LGR

A clerical error has been discovered in the specification for the Devanagari RZ LGR. In the LGR, the tag "vowel" for code points U+0906 and U+0913 should have been tag "Vowel" and tag "matra" for U+093E and U+094B should have been "Matra". The main effect is to make the LGR unintentionally more conservative by prohibiting some labels involving Candrabindu, Anusvara and Visarga The spelling of these tags should be corrected in LGR-4.

The following comment is being submitted on behalf of Bill Jouris. Regards, Sarmad <COMMENT> It makes sense to detail in-script variants in the attached reports from the various Generation Panels. But for cross-script variants, it would be useful to have a consolidated section in the main report which brings them all together. (Otherwise, since one GP might identify one which the counter-party GP did not, it becomes necessary to go thru every attached report to research what has been found.) It would probably make sense to also include those additional cross-script variants which arise via transitivity. </COMMENT>

Hello, I read in sections 2.2, 2.3.1, 2.3.3 and 2.3.6 that you want to postpone the integration of Armenian and Cyrillic. In the era of "One world, one Internet", I would like to insist on the need to integrate these two scripts as soon as possible.
