Dear Glen and Bruce
From my notes of the call, I see that the GAC Liaison, Suzanne Sene, made a request for a statement from the Council explaining the reason to take a vote now, and how the TF would now advance its work, after the vote. I would suggest that Glen carefully detail the discussion between Bruce Tonkin, as chair, and Suzanne, and others, related to the statements made about the reason that the vote was held -e.g. to advance further work in the TF, and also Bruce's clarifications of what the TF's ToR is about. That detailed notes section from the minutes might be helpful to Suzanne as a transmittal to the GAC members. From my notes, it seems that it covers some of the questions asked by the GAC Liaison.
Bruce, you seemed to be suggesting that individual councilors could, if they choose, explain why they voted a particular way votes. I didn't think that was what the GAC Liaison was asking for, although I have no view on whether individual councilors might want to add in that level of detail. Can I ask as well, when the additional transcript is available? I dont think it appropriate to just send off a transcript, although of course, it should be available. However, detailed segments of the minutes might be the approach to take, assuming that that section could be done quickly, for the Liaison's use.
