Dear Councilors, Please see the below action items and reminders from October's Council Meeting. Feedback Requested. Please discuss the following items with your respective SGs: 1. Share the revised charter<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/policy/2024/draft/ccoici-draft-ch...> for a permanent CCOICI, drawing specific attention to the membership structure, and provide any feedback by Tuesday, 29 October. 2. Share the EPDP IDN Phase 2 Final Report<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/policy/2024/draft/gnso-idn-epdp-p...>, drawing particular attention to the final Outputs in Section 3, and be prepared to vote on its adoption at ICANN 81. 3. Share the Final Issue Report for a Policy Development Process (PDP) for Latin Script Diacritics, drawing particular attention to ANNEX A of the preliminary draft charter. We will vote on initiating the PDP and consider the draft charter at ICANN 81. Next Steps on Board Letter re: Contention Sets During the Council meeting, Councilors agreed to draft a letter to the Board noting that despite procedural reservations, the Council will not object to the reversal of the Board's adoption of Recommendation 20.6. The Council, however, looks forward to further discussion on how to formalize the mechanism under which the Board can take this action in the future and ensure concerns from the GNSO are documented. If you like to volunteer to help draft this letter (along with Anne and Greg) please reply on list by Tuesday, 29 October. Pre-ICANN81 GNSO Council Webinar on Thursday, 24 October at 12:00 UTC. Please note that the Pre-ICANN81 GNSO Council is mandatory for all councilors to attend. Donna Austin and Roger Carney will be presenting on the (E)PDPs they chair, and the Council will be invited to ask questions and engage with them.
