Many thanks, Pam - this seems like a sensible approach and in line with our discussions in January both during the Council meeting and in day 3's strategic planning discussions. Donna is the maker of the motion, and Keith holds her proxy. Keith, is this something that you, in Donna's stead, would consider friendly? Dear Heather - Thank you for the reminder regarding the motion on the Whois Conflict with National Law procedure.
Dear fellow councilors - Most of my regsistar colleagues are focusing on work associated with GDPR and Whois compliance issues right now so there is a concern about bandwidth issue. I would therefor propose an amendment to the motion to defer the call for volunteers until after the May 25 GDPR milestone, say on or after June 1, 2018. Thank you for your consideration.
Kind regards,
Pam

Dear Council colleagues,
As I understand it, the GDPR situation is largely unchanged since our January meeting in LA. Are any amendments needed to the motion on WHOIS Conflicts, or are we ready to let this go as is? Since there hasn't been any action on the list since LA, I'm assuming we're all just resigned to living with the motion as it stands. Realistically, I personally (speaking as Council Chair and not for IPC or any particular interests) think we'll just need to form the group and react as dynamically as possible to the externalities.
Reminder - as the motion has been deferred once, it needs to be dealt with in the meeting this week.
Best wishes,
Heather

Dear Keith,
Thank you for your email. Given that the Whois Conflict motion was deferred on the Council meeting held on the 30 January 2018, it automatically reappears as motion for consideration on the agenda for the following meeting, so can be found here: https://community.icann.org/x/ WgK8B
Kind regards,
Nathalie

Hi Nathalie,
Donna is on vacation this week and I have been assigned her proxy.
Do I need to re-submit the motion on the Whois Conflict with National Law procedure? We deferred the motion from our January meeting to our February meeting, so I’m not clear on the procedure.
Regardless, I would like to move forward the motion for consideration this month.
Thanks,
Keith
