In the case of the SSR RT, Ken Silva was endorsed by the RySG. After Ken's resignation, two candidates were nominated in the RySG to replace him. Because no process was in place to choose between the two candidates and to be responsive to fill the vacancy as quickly as possible, the RySG decided that it would save several weeks if both names were submitted.
