GNSO Council Liaisons to GNSO WGs - Replacement Needs
Dear Councilors, As an action item from the Council wrap-up session, staff was to circulate a list of projects where a Council liaison is needed. From our understanding, it appears that just one effort is in imminent need of a replacement: New gTLD Subsequent Procedures: Keith Drazek (serving in interim basis) Of note, there was some discussion of Paul McGrady stepping down from his role with the Rights Protection Mechanisms PDP and rejoining SubPro, with Maxim Alzoba stepping into the RPMs role in his stead. However, there are several other projects that need a replacement, but are of a less urgent nature: WHOIS Procedure Implementation Advisory Group (WPIAG): Keith Drazek (with effort on hold, no urgent need, but Keith intends to step down if this effort does initiate) Curative Rights Protections for IGO/INGOs: Susan Kawaguchi (Final Report delivered, but next steps still being determined) Thick WHOIS: Susan Kawaguchi For any Councilors considering volunteering, you will likely want to review the GNSO Council Liaison to GNSO WGs role description (here: https://gnso.icann.org/en/council/gnso-liaison-wg-22feb18-en.pdf) to ensure you understand your responsibilities. I'm willing to volunteer as the liaison to the Curative Rights Protections for IGO/INGOs, depending of course on the necessity for such liaison based on discussions at Thursday's council meeting. Darcy On Wed, Dec 19, 2018 at 2:42 PM McGrady, Paul D. <PMcGrady@winston.com> wrote:

Dear Councilors,
We have not yet received any volunteers to fill vacant GNSO Council liaison roles. As a reminder, here is the spot that requires filling.
- (To the extent the Council would like to have a co-liaison serve with Elsa Saade) - New gTLD Subsequent Procedures: Keith Drazek (serving in interim basis)
There are several other spots that should be filled, but are not necessarily urgent currently:
- WHOIS Procedure Implementation Advisory Group (WPIAG): Keith Drazek (with effort on hold, no urgent need, but Keith intends to step down if and when this effort does initiate) - Curative Rights Protections for IGO/INGOs: Susan Kawaguchi (Final Report delivered, but next steps still being determined) - Thick WHOIS IRT: Susan Kawaguchi
Best,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the follow-up and I want to take this opportunity to encourage councilors to volunteer as liaisons for those different WGs/IRTs.
Best Regards,
Rafik

Dear Councilors,
As an action item from the Council wrap-up session, staff was to circulate a list of projects where a Council liaison is needed. From our understanding, it appears that just one effort is in imminent need of a replacement:
· New gTLD Subsequent Procedures: Keith Drazek (serving in interim basis)
Of note, there was some discussion of Paul McGrady stepping down from his role with the Rights Protection Mechanisms PDP and rejoining SubPro, with Maxim Alzoba stepping into the RPMs role in his stead.
However, there are several other projects that need a replacement, but are of a less urgent nature:
· WHOIS Procedure Implementation Advisory Group (WPIAG): Keith Drazek (with effort on hold, no urgent need, but Keith intends to step down if this effort does initiate)
· Curative Rights Protections for IGO/INGOs: Susan Kawaguchi (Final Report delivered, but next steps still being determined)
