NCA's and information flow
Dear council members, I have often expressed my concern over how NCA's tend to be left out of the constituency-based communications of the GNSO. It is purely by accident that I today found out that nominations for GNSO Council Chair are solicited and due on 2 October. Not that this one affects me personally, but I just wanted to take the opportunity to highlight the gap in information flow. Julf

As you may have seen from Nathalie’s message, the communication on the timeline went out to the full Council on 6 July as well as SG/Cs, following an initial overview of the timeline during the wrap up session at ICANN59. In addition, this information has also been posted here: https://gnso.icann.org/en/council/elections. If there are other ways in which you think this should be communicated, please let staff know. Yes, you are right, and I stand corrected. The initial communication did indeed go out to the whole council list, but it seems the reminders only went to the SG/C's.
If there are other ways in which you think this should be communicated, please let staff know.
My simplistic suggestion is that the NCA's are copied on emails that go out to SG/C leaders. Julf
Yes, that is definitely something staff can do, but for the record, SG/Cs were sent the same information as was sent to the Council. There were no separate reminders as far as I am aware. Marika, I believe that would exclude incoming NCAs since they might not be on the Council list at that time... Rubens

Rubens, all incoming Council members, including incoming NCAs have been subscribed to the Council mailing list as observers by the GNSO Secretariat as soon as they were informed about their selection so they will have received all email communications from the date of subscription. Also note that the Council mailing list is publicly archived which allows anyone interested to review earlier communications (see https://mm.icann.org/pipermail/council/). As noted before, the information is also posted on the Council web-site.
