Dear CPWG Members, On behalf of the At-Large Community, we are seeking a small group of volunteers to form a small team to prepare a handful of stress tests around Voluntary PICs. This group will come up with some scenarios around a few mock applied-for strings which would likely attract community concerns which could then be possibly addressed through proposed Voluntary PICs. These stress tests are expected to be relayed to ICANN org through our SubPro Implementation Review Team (IRT) representatives, inviting ICANN org to describe or comment on how those Voluntary PICs might be evaluated for purposes of the Next Round. They are intended to help the At-Large Community understand how the evaluation process might work, and whether any identified gaps can be resolved satisfactorily prior to completion of the work on the Next Round Applicant Guidebook. For this reason - and involving a relatively short turnaround time - we welcome volunteers with the capacity for a near-immediate start and able to engage fairly intensively through the next few weeks prior to the year-end festive period. Your input would be invaluable in ensuring robust and practical outcomes for Voluntary PICs as a means by which Next Round applicants (in becoming registry operators) can appropriately frame their Voluntary PICs to effectively address concerns with their applied-for strings. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to At-Large Support Staff at staff@atlarge.icann.org<mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org> by Tuesday, 3 December 2024 at 23:59 UTC. Inquiries can be forwarded to At-Large Support Staff and Justine Chew (ALAC Rep to the SubPro IRT) at justine.chew.icann@gmail.com<mailto:justine.chew.icann@gmail.com>. Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to your contributions. Best regards, ICANN Policy Staff in support of the At-Large Community
