Dear CPWG Members, We would like to draw your attention to the First Draft ALAC Statement on the Second Public Comment for Proposed Next Round Base gTLD Registry Agreement <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f7ZURayJvxGepos-uEyKuT-muygwUCkMCT_Wviio...>, for which we are seeking *preliminary* input. Due to this public comment proceeding closing on 17 November (i.e. prior to a subsequent CPWG call next week), and as indicated during the CPWG session at ICANN84 on 26 October, we have proceeded to craft this draft statement based on: (1) the general consensus established on the bullet points discussed at ICANN84; and (2) remaining bullets points to be discussed at the CPWG Call on 12 November. To pre-empt, general consensus was established on: - Issue 1: Emergency Transition - Issue 2: Incident Report (SAC074) - Question 1: Termination by ICANN - fraudulent or deceptive practices (partly) While the remaining bullets points proposed to be discussed are on: - - Question 1: Termination by ICANN - fraudulent or deceptive practices (recap and conclusion) - Issue 3: Termination by ICANN – conditions to initiate mediation - Question 2: Rights Protection Mechanisms – Sunrise Services - Question 3. Any other feedback – Applicant Support and Latin Script Diacritics Please join us for the discussion during the CPWG call on 12 November at 14:00 UTC <https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/x/DYCdIQ>. Kind regards, Eunice and Justine
