Hello all, I should add that whilst the working group mailing lists will be archived it will be impossible to post to these working group lists. Everyone's subscription will be folded into the CPWG mailing list, which will make things a lot easier and avoid duplication of messages and the (too often) messages held for moderation. Hi Dev
Staff were asked to archive these inactive WGs when I took over as Chair foreseeing that we might (and we did) have confusion over their remaining on our mailing list system.
Apparently IT have now been informed and have been asked to formally close down the mailing lists... yet the WGs themselves have actually been archived since we set ourselves this task as part of the At-Large Review - to tidy up access to key wiki pages which are now accessible via the GATEWAY. See the section at the bottom of the At-Large WG wiki page for the list of archived WGs that are no longer use.

Dear All,
Since the decision to redirect emails from cpwg@icann.org <mailto:cpwg@icann.org> to the gtld-wg.atlarge-lists.icann.org <http://gtld-wg.atlarge-lists.icann.org> and registration-issues-wg.atlarge-lists.icann.org <http://registration-issues-wg.atlarge-lists.icann.org> lists some time ago, one consequence of this is that different subject lines like [registration-issues-wg] [CPWG] or [GTLD-WG] [CPWG] appear to those that are on the three mailing lists. Worse, threaded conversations are potentially broken depending on who responds to which list.
In theory, persons can individually unsubscribe from the gtld-wg and registration-issues-wg but the far simpler and more straightforward thing to do is to retire the gtld-wg lists and registration-issues-wg lists by
1) staff documenting who are on the gtld-wg list and registration-issues lists 2) staff removing everyone except themselves from the gtld-wg lists and registration-issues lists 3) staff posting a last email, noting the reasons why the list was being retired so that future At-Large has a clearer picture of why the list was retired and perhaps noting for historical purposes who was on the list when the list was retired.
Thoughts?
Dev Anand
