ACTION/CPWG Members - ALAC/At-Large ICANN65 Talking Points
Dear CPWG Members, Please review (comment) on the ALAC/At-Large ICANN65 Talking Points Google Doc: https://drive.google.com/a/icann.org/file/d/14Sm-IqmZpGQDACAVHBS1XvjtkAz4LJU... Also attached in Word Doc for your reference. ?Thank you, Evin
Hi, I really appreciate this documents, since they put in context what ALAC/At-Large is discussing, and what is its position in the different policies/advises. In the other hand, the prior one, imho was very useful because it was short and concise, half a page of talking points. Now we have 3 pages, not so easy to remember, and put is all in the same page. As I understand it, in Kobe, it was meant for us, ALAC/At-Large members. But not sure if at some point it also was used to give our opinions to other SOs or ACs ( I mean delivered in paper, not in our speech). If it is so, that is a paper to express our positions in the meetings with other SOs, ACs or ICANN staff, yes, the 3 pages have a nice compilation of what they are. If it is for the first, an internal paper to have us all in the same page (or at least try :) ), we need to resume this a bit further. Hope this helps Best Ricardo Holmquist El mar., 11 jun. 2019 a las 15:30, Evin Erdogdu (<evin.erdogdu@icann.org>) escribió:

Thanks Ricardo. The idea is to continue to trim it down to be more like the document in Kobe but with enough context so that folks will feel comfortable delivering the key points in a meeting. It’s a balance but I welcome any substantive issues in the meanwhile. On the other hand, I like the idea that we have been given the broader view as a first draft but that for ICANN65, this can be pruned to be a more concise tool for committing to memory for those talks in the corridor :) Unfortunately I will be unable to attend this week's CPWG meeting. Indeed. This is on the agenda for today’s call so please take a look at these talking points for substance. They are based on past positions we’ve taken but I’ll be editing them further down to make them more digestible but wanted to get everyone’s blessing on the points themselves before taking it further. Thanks!
