CSC Charter Review Team draft update slides
Dear all, Per our call yesterday, please find included a draft update of slide deck you used in Abu Dhabi. Based on conversation yesterday I have updated the topic list (slide 6) and included a slide per identified topic included one slide detailing the comments/observations to date (slide 7-14). I suggest that you update the slides by Monday 11 December COB Pacific time. Also suggest to use the topic list (slide 6) as agenda for the upcoming conversation with CSC. Ria, all I’ve done some work on the doc. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to track changes on PPT so they’re not easy to notice. I do have a question on slide 7. Bart or Ria could you clarify for me what this means. It could use a bit more refinement, but I think it’s in pretty good shape. Slide 6 (added note, but I’m not sure that is very easy to read) for “Monthly meetings…”: I thought we had heard that monthly reviews of performance need to be retained but that would not necessarily require a call. Should this read, "Meetings should not necessarily be monthly, although the CSC does need to assess performance every month"? (Slide 9 covers this, but at that point it felt like a bit out of the blue!) The regular updates are really the face-to-face meetings, so it might be helpful to say this. Slide 7: agree with Donna’s comment! Slide 11: I’m not sure I really heard any call for CSC to have jollies to LA… I don’t disagree with the travel to ICANN meetings, but where does the proposal come from? Slide 12: should we spell out what SLA means? Slide 13: I’m doubtful of the value of specifying the frequency of PTI Board-CSC meetings. I’ve suggested minor edits on slides 2 & 15.
