2. Heather repeated the question whether there are any suggestions as to who we like to invite. So far, we came up with: ICANN Board (at least 1 member), ICANN Legal, the leadership of subsequent procedures PDP. The WG members were invited to send further suggestions to the WG mailing list, before the end of this week.
SSAC is meeting as well. There are two subject which has the attention of SSAC which might be relevant: (a) About naming and especially TLDs in general. This is triggered by the "names of special use" registry discussion in the IETF but takes a more generic approach, looking at the various groups that come up with names which might be used as TLDs (IETF, ISO 3166, ICANN new gTLD AGB, ITU E.164 etc.); what the policies are of sometimes overlapping name spaces etc. (b) IDN Harmonization. There are various groups making policies related to IDNs (IETF, Unicode consortium, Universal Acceptance, various "Public Suffix Lists (PSLs)" efforts, ICANN's label generation program) and not all groups have the same definition of what an IDN label is. It might be beneficially to have some (informal) dialogue with SSAC about these things. jaap
