Dear Greg Shatan: I note that the questions that I had proposed have been entirely ignored. I would appreciate it if you would incorporate them into the suggested brief for external counsel. It would also be important to make it quite clear to an eventual external counsel that the questions relating to separability and Contract Co. imply NO implicit bias inn favour of one solution or another. 1. Does the membership and process of the CWG give rise to any concerns or risks of collusion under anti-trust law, in view of the commercial interests of the participants? This in any relevant jurisdiction.
2. What steps should be taken to protect any eventual such 'Contract Co.' from capture or acquisition over an extended period of time, e.g. 25 years?
3. Insofar as Registries may be represented in 'Contract Co'., how to ensure the pre-eminence of the global public interest, whereas many Registries will, in future, be collectively represented by the commercial interests of their Registrar owners.

As previously discussed, there are several aspects of our work where we thought it would be helpful to get legal advice from independent counsel.
I've been advised that in order to make this request, we should have a list of the questions we would like to put to counsel.
I am starting this thread in the hopes that others in the CWG will reply with the questions they believe the CWG should put to counsel.
