GNSO Council vote: Proposed Fundamental Bylaw Changes
Dear members of the Empowered Community (EC) Administration, The GNSO Council passed the motion<https://community.icann.org/x/DWfwAw> for approval of the Fundamental Bylaw Amendment to transfer responsibility for reconsideration requests to a new Board committee during its meeting on 13 July 2017. As per Resolved clause 2: “The GNSO Council directs the GNSO Secretariat to forward this resolution to the Empowered Community Administration before the expiration of the Approval Action Decision Period, as required under Section 1.4, Article 1, Annex D of the ICANN Bylaws”, the resolution can be found published on page: https://gnso.icann.org/en/council/resolutions#201707 Thank you. Greetings Nathalie, Thank you for this update regarding the decision of the GNSO regarding the proposed Fundamental Bylaw change. My score card currently shows two "Yes" votes on the Proposed Fundamental Bylaw change, and three votes outstanding (ALAC, ASNO, and GAC). Please let me know if your score card is different. Hello Stephen, thank you for the update. I don’t believe we have yet seen an official notice from the ccNSO certifying its support for the Fundamental Bylaw amendment. As the Bylaws (in Annex D) require there to be written notice to the Empowered Community Administration as well as notification to the ICANN Secretary, we will be very grateful if you can facilitate that step before the expiration of the Approval Action Decision Period at 06.59 UTC on 21 July 2017.
