WEBINAR - Preparation for IGF Istanbul 2-5 September: Exchange of views with Civil Society
In preparation for the ninth IGF meeting in Istanbul from 2-5 September, you are kindly invited to a webinar to exchange information and views on on-going global discussions on Internet governance. A stronger and more incisive presence and involvement of civil society, particularly those organisations based in Europe or with an EU-interest, is key to ensuring that the multistakeholder model works well. Also to ensure that the EU role in the further evolution and strengthening of the Internet Governance Forum takes into account all voices, those of civil society will be most important.
The webinar will be chaired by Megan Richards, Principal Adviser at DG CONNECT and Head of the European Commission's Delegation to the Ninth IGF.

3. How can civil society play a bigger role in Internet governance discussions, and in particular in the IGF?
Debrief by the European Commission and exchange of views on on-going fundraising efforts for the IGF Trust Fund and other possibilities for in-kind contributions.
