on 4 September 2017, At-Large Staff initiated a call for candidates for the position of EURALO Secretary. The position that came up for renewal was held so far by the incumbent Wolf Ludwig.
I have been informed by staff who have updated the EURALO Secretariat Election Page on https://community.icann.org/display/EURALO/EURALO+ Secretariat+Election+2017, that one self-nomination was received from Olawale Bakare - his SOI being available on the election page.
*No application having been received from anyone else, unless I hear to the contrary within 24H (consensus call), I would propose that we welcome Olawale (Wale) Bakare as the next EURALO Secretary by acclamation.*
Wolf and Wale have already been in touch with each other and Wolf has proposed mentoring Wale as much as possible to help him into the position. The new candidate will assume his position starting at the end of the ICANN AGM in Abu Dhabi.
