I started as an active member of ICANN´s At Large community 20 years ago, I served in six NomComs in different positions and I can bring inside expertise both from the Board and from the GNSO Council. As a EURALO rep in the NomCom I would argue that the ICANN Board needs more user/AL representation. Will involve travel to up to 4 meetings. * Ability work in a group environment, standing up for what you believe in a discussion with other "strong" people, but at the same time, must be a good listener and be willing to change your mind if someone else has a good argument. Diplomacy is important. RALOs may recommend one or more candidates to the ALAC. The appointment if NomCom delegates is done by the ALAC and RALO recommendations are not binding. In our Regional Selections of ALAC members, Bastiaan Goslin has completed his two year term. We have no term limit in EURALO, so he is eligible for re-appointment, but he needs to be nominated for this. Of course, the position is open, so anyone could be nominated for this position. The EURALO Chair and Secretary position are not up for selection this year.
