I just sent a note, below, to the ALAC's internal list about trying to keep the board liaison. My memory of this matter is that when we've discussed it in the region we've been for trying to keep the liaison. I'd like to make sure I'm correct, don't want to misrepresent anyone's views! Thanks, Adam

I am concerned we are not continuing to make the case for keeping the liaison role on the board. The liaison is necessary: without it we loose an important means of providing advice/recommendations to the board and communication with the board. Noting the ALAC is an advisory committee not a supporting organization.
Also concerned that if we loose that board advisory role then the supporting organizations we currently have liaisons with may re-consider those relationships. I know this has been mentioned by some constituencies.
Can we please not drop this matter. I would very much like to hear what the RALOs have to say. My understanding it that EARALO shares my concerns (stand to be corrected :-)) Could we make sure there is time on next weeks call to discuss this.
Thanks,
Adam
