Dear all, according to EURALO’s by-laws a General Assembly has to be convened once a year. EURALO was created in March 07 in Lisbon. Our 1st GA took place in June 2008 in Paris, the 2nd in March 2009 in Mexico-City. For reasons you know, we couldn’t organise a 3rd General Assembly last June in Brussels due to lack of funding. As discussed at our last monthly calls in June and July, we decided to convene our next 3rd General Assembly at the occasion of the coming Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Vilnius/Lithuania for Wednesday, 15 September 2010, from 17:00 – 19:30, (venue and room TBC). Unfortunately, we cannot provide any travel and stay-over funding for this GA. Some of our members will travel to the IGF on their own and we use the opportunity of the IGF for a contextualised meeting and for EURALO outreach contacts. To our knowledge, about seven members will be present there and we will organise a remote participation for our members who won’t come to Vilnius. The draft of a GA Agenda you will find attached. If you have any suggestions or agenda items to be added, please let us know during the next four weeks. We would be pleased if some more of you could physically attend our 3rd General Assembly and otherwise count on a strong remote participation.
