it reminded me something from my past. I used to live in Southern France, in Valbonne (close to Nice), until 1999. Every year we (the whole family) used to go to Barcelona for the long Ascension weekend. One year, when we arrived in Barcelona, we were unable to find any reasonably priced hotel, and the tourist office in Placa de Catalunya suggested to drive on the coast south of the city. We ended up in Castelldefels, in a residence on the beach that was excellent and reasonably priced. I also remember having eaten very well in a couple of restaurants. The only drawback was to drive every day into the city, but I enjoyed the chance to see a part of the country I would not have seen otherwise. Cheers, Roberto
