Dear Olivier, Thank you very much for pointing this out. You are correct in noting the Central European Summer time. As we use UTC as our frame of reference, the meeting will begin at 18:00 CEST. The updated agenda is available here: https://st.icann.org/euralo/index.cgi?21_april_2009 Kind regards, Heidi -----Original Message----- From: euro-discuss-bounces@atlarge-lists.icann.org [mailto:euro-discuss-bounces@atlarge-lists.icann.org] On Behalf Of Olivier MJ Crepin-Leblond Sent: Friday, April 17, 2009 2:05 PM To: euro-discuss@atlarge-lists.icann.org; ICANN AtLarge Staff Subject: Re: [EURO-Discuss] Reminder: EURALO Teleconference on 21 April at 16:00UTC Heidi:
This is to remind you that the next EURALO teleconference is scheduled for Tuesday, 21 April at 16:00 UTC/17:00 CET.
With Daylight Savings time (aka Summer Time), technically CET (UTC+1) does not exist in the summer and is replaced by CEST (UTC+2). 16:00 UTC = 16:00 GMT (Greenwich Meridian Time, winter) = 17:00 CET (winter) 16:00 UTC = 17:00 BST (British Summer Time) = 18:00 CEST (Central Europe Summer Time) So what is our starting time? Are we using the 16:00 UTC frame of reference, in which case, most of mainland western europe will be using 18:00 CEST ?
