Dear Maciek, hello! Thank you so much for your initiative. Our colleagues and I are also open to any questions and help for newcomers personally. In the past we had a mentoring program in the community, practice has shown that formalization of such processes is great (the program was closed by ALAC decision). Well, we may act unofficially. Another idea of my Welcome Package project (despite all efforts it died, I still cry about it, cause *At-Large everyday needs it*) is a EURALO digital page, where we will specify mentors with coordinates for communication or something else. The list of persons may change and will be supplemented, but it will be a guiding star-). Short conclusion: we can informally direct newcomers to you, to me, to Roberto, Frederic (and others who wish), or/and we can write our names on the wiki page as mentors. I had a whole lot of support from you and Glen since I came in as a fellow, and I put in some work into research on working groups etc. myself - but I think a lot of people will appreciate knowing there is someone relatable who can help them in a ‚what to do next?’ case. And practical newcomer topics like volunteering as a reviewer are not much covered in the ICANN Learn materials I guess?
But to avoid confusion with the mentorship for the fellows, and to put emphasis on the less formal nature of this, maybe we’d like to use another term, like „guide” or something similar? („Sherpa” is pretty and often used, but I know ethnic Sherpa people sometimes disapprove of this).
If this approach is successful, we could encourage other RALOs to adapt it too?
So yes - please point to me as in ‚Here’s Maciek, he just joined as well and can help you with some first steps’. I hope my background as a digital educator can be helpful here as well.

Dear Maciek, hello! Thank you so much for your initiative. Our colleagues and I are also open to any questions and help for newcomers personally.
In the past we had a mentoring program in the community, practice has shown that formalization of such processes is great (the program was closed by ALAC decision). Well, we may act unofficially. Another idea of my Welcome Package project (despite all efforts it died, I still cry about it, cause *At-Large everyday needs it*) is a EURALO digital page, where we will specify mentors with coordinates for communication or something else. The list of persons may change and will be supplemented, but it will be a guiding star-).
Short conclusion: we can informally direct newcomers to you, to me, to Roberto, Frederic (and others who wish), or/and we can write our names on the wiki page as mentors. What do you think about it? ___ Best regards, Natasha
