Thanks, Jason. Does that mean that Staff has determined that accreditation will not impact ICANN’s bottom line or it will not impact ICANN’s bottom line much? And, secondarily, is this because accreditation is seen as something that is relatively easy and will not have any cost associated or because Staff assumes the high cost anticipated will simply be borne by the accredited entities? Hi Luc,
Thank you for your emails and your comments in the Implementation Plan document. Regarding your request for access to a list of affiliated P/P providers, we are looking into this and will get back to you as soon as possible.
Regarding your inquiry about the participation of ICANN org’s Finance team, we do not view Finance as a core member of the ICANN org implementation team because we do not believe the recommendations will have a significant impact on Finance’s function or require its ongoing participation through the implementation phases. However, during the process of implementation, we will provide regular cross-functional updates and engage different functions as necessary as the work progresses.
We are also not currently envisioning the type of accreditation program that was originally proposed by the 2016 IRT (Model 1 discussed last year by this IRT). During our next phase of work, following finalization of the Implementation Plan, the IPT will share a proposed flow of requirements based on the IRT’s input on previously discussed accreditation models <https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpageattachments.action?...>, consistent with the GNSO Council’s guidance <https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpageattachments.action?...>. These discussions will serve as the foundation for Consensus Policy drafting, as outlined in the work breakdown and Implementation Plan.
We look forward to discussing further soon.
Best,
Jason

Hi Jason,
Me again.
I was listening to the recordings and realised I may not have fully understood your reply to my question. Sorry about that.
Could you please confirm that no member of the ICANN Finance team is involved because ICANN does not intend to turn this accreditation system into a revenue-generating mechanism, in particular by introducing a high accreditation fee, as was briefly envisaged by your predecessors?
Thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
Luc

Ji Jason et al,
I have a somewhat related request for ICANN Org.
To help us make an informed decision when implementing the plan, it would be useful to have access to a list of affiliated P/P providers. My understanding is that ICANN already maintains such a list, as registrars are required to disclose these providers in the RIRs.
Having this information would allow us to assess actual, existing services rather than relying on theoretical models.
I do not believe this information is subject to confidentiality obligations, so I assume there should be no obstacle to sharing it.
Many thanks,
Luc
