Dear all, I will seize the opportunity of Glen's test, with apologies for the delay while I've started travel to Helsinki, to provide a quick update on ccNSO's progress in terms of the CSC Selection Committee process. James, Donna and I had a Helsinki prep call with ccNSO leadership last Friday and the majority of our focus was the CSC and related IANA-transition activities. Here are my notes to fill us all in on where the ccNSO is at: Firstly, last Friday the ccNSO leadership adopted a set of selection process guidelines and procedures. If they haven't already been, they will be published on ccNSO website soon. The ccNSO community has 7 days to object. In my view it would be very helpful to review these to see what we can gain without having to re-invent the wheel. The ccNSO plans to form a selection committee, total 6 (1 from each geo region and 1 NomCom appointee). In terms of their timeline, the EOI is anticipated to go out at end of June (after ccNSO has had a chance to discuss this face to face in Helsinki), closing on 15 July. FYI, the ccNSO must appoint 2 members to CSC. It was discussed that ccNSO leadership acknowledges there may be challenges at getting quorum given these things are going on during summer holiday season in the northern hemisphere. James, Donna and I agreed that we could follow up to coordinate with ccNSO in late July with some sort of joint session. I'm in the air all day tomorrow travelling between Singapore and London, but will be back online on Thursday before continuing on to Helsinki.
