Kind regards, Nathalie ------------------------------- Adobe Connect chat transcript for Tuesday 19 August 2014: Nathalie Peregrine:Welcome to the Data and Metrics for Policy Making Working Group on the 19th of August 2014 Graeme Bunton:3:58, giv'er a couple Marinel Rosca:Hello Graeme Bunton:a degree in ICANN? Graeme Bunton:could you IMAGINE? Graeme Bunton:makes sense to me Tony Onorato:makes sense to me Marinel Rosca:I am ok with the idea Pam Little:Idon't think we can anticipate every scenario. Pam Little:We are trying to develop a framework. Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:I agree Pam we can do ptinipals though Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:should read principles Tony Onorato:to an extent this might be dealt with by having both a quantitative and qualitative section Tony Onorato:to any "survey", I should say Tony Onorato:sorry -- just hung up -- will call back Tony Onorato:i'm back Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:can't get it WHEN asked for it may be able to b got at another point in time Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:;- Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:phew Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:I love hats Graeme Bunton:can you count discrete occurences of the issue Tony Onorato:Yes, I would have Tony Onorato:NP Berry Cobb:writing them down. :-) Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:your trying t get ME t be practical! surely not !!! Pam Little:I agree with Jonathan. Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:Yes base line data can be best guessed (often)and be used as baseline so IN the IR Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:YES Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:Berry then the IR identifies that the data is desirable but needs to be outsourced J:But why can't staff outsource it? Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:in some cses thay could, if it is within existing resource allocations and in some cases it would be a yes but it will take 6 months to get it from someone Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:in some case you might need to ask for EOI's from consuktants etc., Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:they could identify that it NEEDS to be done in some cases where the aquisition is problomatic or out of 'current' reach Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:agree Berry but it could be in the IR to identify that the data on yur exampler of expiry dates will need to be sourced if desirable by a non internal ICANN method Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:and then resourced as required when it can be Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:exactly Pam Berry Cobb:Agreed. But visability only goes as far as submissions to ICANN Compliance. Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:and this will continue to be a changing landsxape where of course a part of ICANN can also use the identifiable data desires from IR's as reason to update or better modify their internal data collection and reporting methods Pam Little:yes Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:IGF Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:skip to 9th is fine NOT the 26th auOGF is on and I am busy Graeme Bunton:Probably Berry Cobb:copy that. Berry Cobb:Thank you everyone. Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:all good thanks al talk on the 9th more then... Marinel Rosca:Thank you Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:bye
