I thought that it was, but am still seeing it on my calendar? From: gnso-dnsabuse-smallteam <gnso-dnsabuse-smallteam-bounces@icann.org> On Behalf Of Marika Konings Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2022 10:58 PM To: gnso-dnsabuse-smallteam@icann.org Subject: [EXTERNAL] [gnso-dnsabuse-smallteam] For your review - draft report CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you can confirm the sender and know the content is safe. Dear All, As discussed during Wednesday’s meeting, the staff support team has gone ahead and created a first draft of the small team’s report to the GNSO Council. In addition to background information on the group’s assignment and approach, section 3 of the report attempts to translate the small team’s discussions to date into concrete recommendations for Council consideration. These recommendations have been aligned with the DNS abuse life cycle phase as identified by the group, namely: * Phase 0: Preventative measures or indicators that may assist Contracted Parties in identifying malicious registrations. * Phase 1: Ensuring harmed parties know how AND to whom a complaint should be reported (e.g. which party is best placed to mitigate the harm); * Phase 2: Ensuring that reported complaints are well-formed and actionable; * Phase 3: Well-positioned party (e.g., contracted party, web-host, website owner/operator, etc.) takes action as necessary. * Phase 4: Effective enforcement by ICANN Compliance if appropriate action is not taken by Contracted Parties to address DNS Abuse. Please review this draft report and add any comments, suggestions and/or proposed edits in the form of comments. Please do NOT edit the document directly as that may make review for others difficult. If possible, please provide your input by Monday 15 August as that will assist leadership in the preparation of the agenda for the next meeting which is scheduled for Wednesday 17 August. Best regards, Steve & Marika
