Hello all, On behalf of the GAC small group…. a couple inputs pertaining to the natural/legal person and geographic basis portions of the draft interim report: · Legal/natural persons: the GAC would like to be added/associated with the text outlining the views of the IPC and BC. · Geographic basis: the GAC recognizes the differences of views as articulated in this section of the report. That being said, we propose the addition of two questions for community consideration that we think may assist in moving the conversation forward depending on any responses received. * Should the community explore whether procedures would be feasible to accurately distinguish on a global scale whether registrants/contracted parties fall within jurisdiction of the GDPR or other data protection laws? o Can the community point to existing examples of where such a differentiation is already made and could it apply at a global scale for purposes of registration data?
