As for the estimated overall market share of registrars onboarded in the RDRS, let us look into it and get back to you. As for your question about Privacy and Proxy domains, the RDRS does not currently take into an account the way to disclose the underlying registrant’s data if the domain is behind Privacy or Proxy service. There had been several conversations held on this topic during the Small Team’s meeting, and the overall reaction from the team is to not conflate the RDRS with the Privacy/Proxy data. The RDRS however displays the disclaimer to the requestor prior to filling out the form that the requestor should first check lookup.icann.org to see if the data is publicly available already. It also warns the requestor that some domains may be utilizing the privacy or proxy service, in which case, the RDRS may or may not be the right tool to request the nonpublic registration data and in some cases, they may wish to contact the registrar directly. Key audiences include but are not limited to the ICANN community, consumer protection advocates, cybersecurity investigators, government officials, intellectual property professionals, and law enforcement officials. Our communications strategy is to create and promote information on RDRS through multiple, integrated channels on a consistent basis. This content includes announcements, blogs, and press releases (distributed via a wire service) that are posted on icann.org and promoted through ICANN’s social media channels, and newsletters.
