Dennis and colleagues Good morning and thanks for this note; really excellent work from you and Stephane. Will be good to the public comment phase begin; and indeed let us raise a glass in Montreal; Best Nigel From: Gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt <gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt-bounces@icann.org> on behalf of Dennis Chang <dennis.chang@icann.org> Date: Thursday, 17 October 2019 at 00:39 To: Stephane Hankins <shankins@icrc.org>, "gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt@icann.org" <gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt@icann.org> Cc: Dennis Chang <IMCEAMAILTO-dennis+2Echang+40icann+2Eorg@icrc.org> Subject: [Gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt] Red Cross update public comment to open on 23 October 2019 Dear IRT, Thanks to Stéphane for the re-submissions for the new names. We’ve now converted all names to the DNS Labels and you will find them posted in the IRT wiki. https://community.icann.org/display/IIPIRT/Red+Cross+Identifier+Lists+-+For+... With this, all of our preparation work is complete and ready to proceed with the Public Comment part of our implementation. https://docs.google.com/document/d/11lba9ltTi2CJ8l70QWu7R_xUiAAmNPViCc-ADcPv... We are targeting 23 October 2019 to open and 12 December 2019 to close. The 50-day comment duration factors in the ICANN66 and US Holidays for Thanksgiving. With this, I believe there is no need for an IRT meeting in October. Andrea can send a reminder for the cancellation as needed. For those traveling to Montreal, safe travel and let’s get together to celebrate this milestone. Thank you again for everyone’s support. I believe this will go down in history as the largest number of names to be in reservation. Every time I hear Red Cross in the news, I am reminded and humbled to be a part of the great cause. Kind regards, Dennis Chang From: Gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt <gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt-bounces@icann.org> on behalf of Stephane Hankins <shankins@icrc.org> Date: Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 04:59 To: "gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt@icann.org" <gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt@icann.org> Cc: Dennis Chang <IMCEAMAILTO-dennis+2Echang+40icann+2Eorg@icrc.org> Subject: [Gnso-igo-ingo-ip-irt] Request for additions to the reserved names list - Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia Dear Members of the Reconvened IRT, We herewith wish to request that the list of reserved National Red Cross and Red Crescent identifiers for the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia (formally known as the “Macedonia Red Cross”) be revised and complemented. These additions to the reserved names list are requested in order to reflect the recent change in the official name of the “Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia”, as decided upon by the National Society’s Assembly on 25 June 2019). As agreed in past calls of the IRT, we request that the set of names already included in the reserved list for this National Society (i.e. the names “Macedonia Red Cross” and “Red Cross of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” and their agreed variations) be maintained in the reserved names list. This is mindful of the fact that the National Society will continue to be known by its old names in the foreseeable future. The revised table of identifiers for this National Society, as attached to this message, includes a total of fifty eight (58) names: forty (40) that were included in our initial submission (in black ink), plus sixteen (18) additional names (in blue ink). We are also attaching herewith a copy of the Red Cross of North Macedonia’s Facebook page illustrating that the National Society’s new name is in use.
