Teleconference between ICANN Meetings
Most of us were able to find time to meet in Singapore, and one of the suggestions I heard repeatedly was to try to schedule at least one teleconference between the various components of the NCPH and me, as your current Board member. We are now about 5 weeks out from the London ICANN 50 meeting, so I thought I would reach out to you to ask if you would like to schedule such a call in the next week or so. I am open to joining a general call, or separate calls with each constituency. Please let me know your preferences. My schedule is not too difficult for the next 10 days, but I do live in the same time zone as Los Angeles, so would appeciate it if any calls could be scheduled between 15:00 to 00:00 UTC if at all possible. best regards Bill
Thanks, Bill, this is much appreciated. I prefer, if you are accepting, that we do two calls: one with CSG and one with NCSG, both due to time allocations, and to ensure that each group's full membership has time to discuss key issues with you. We do have many many members who value the Board member discussion opportunities in the CSG, and I am sure that is also true for NCSG and so to allocate enough time to all, I'd propose two calls and let each SG's leadership coordinate with you. My colleagues on both CSG and NCSG can comment. I am at IGF MAG, alongside some of the NCSG folks leadership, so this is a bad week for me. I am only home between IGF MAG and MPP/ITU WSIS +10 for 2.5 days, Next [ following] week May 28-31 is WSIS +10 MPP negotiations, but I can do calls from 10:30 pm. GVA, which is around mid afternoon LA. from 27, which can be any time; and on 28,29,30 I can do calls probably from 10:30 p.m. on/which should work, as is mid afternoon US and your time, but that is only for CSG time. . NOT 26th, as in the air. Probably not 31st, which may be a midnight negotiation night and yes, sigh, I realize it is Saturday! I am flying home June 1, so can't do a call. The NCSG has also Asian time zones to factor in, so I hestitate to comment on what works for them, however. that is another reason for two calls. By splitting the CSG and the NCSG, you can offer more flexibility to the time zone challenges of both groups. I appreciate this consideration. Again, I know we have many BC members and IPC and ISPCP who welcome the dialogue, so I do expect that when th CSG leaders ask our members this will be warmly received, as by also the NCSG. Hi Bill, Thanks for taking the lead and proposing having pre-icann meeting call. I don't know if there is also a plan to have a meeting in London too. I see a good trend of more cooperation between the two sides of NCPH, including this. so a general call may be tested in near future but understand that a separate can be more suitable for now. For time/date, I would suggest setting a doodle to find the appropriate time for NCSG members. maybe we can ask kindly Glen to setup a doodle for the next 10 days? the proposed time range is not suitable for me but I can survive a midnight or or 6:00am call JST :) Best Regards, Rafik 2014-05-19 3:51 GMT+09:00 Bill Graham <bill.graham@icann.org>:

Glen, I believe Rafik’s suggestion below was for a call with NCSG, not the full House, so that should be reflected in circulation of the Doodle poll.
