Dear all, Please find attached an updated version of the Question 2 summary document that was presented by Val to the full WG last week. As agreed, I’ve added in what I think was the WG’s agreed course of further action (where there was one) from the discussion - these are highlighted in yellow for your review. I’ve also added a title and headings as well as edited some typos and such, but otherwise I’ve not messed with the substance of the summary analysis that was in Val’s document. It will be great if you can review this as well as the updated summary for Question 1 that Alex sent around on Friday 28 August at your earliest convenience, so that we can send agreed final versions of both documents to the full WG, preferably before the end of this week. While these have all been included in what is now Part 4 of the overall WG Public Comment Review Tool, I thought that this particular one from Blacknight Internet Solutions might be of interest to this Sub Team: “We suggest that the Working Group look to established policies around disclosure that are already used by some country code managers, such as CIRA, who run the Canadian (.ca) country code." One question: should subQ4 refer to the work of sub group 3 (rather than sub group 2)? I agree that Blacknight's suggestion is of interest. Although it bears on Q2/subQ4 most, it seems to me, given the recommendation on that sub question, perhaps this comment is most appropriate to consider during deliberations of sub group 3, working on annex e, or even sub group 4 (other issues). While these have all been included in what is now Part 4 of the overall WG Public Comment Review Tool, I thought that this particular one from Blacknight Internet Solutions might be of interest to this Sub Team:
“We suggest that the Working Group look to established policies around disclosure that are already used by some country code managers, such as CIRA, who run the Canadian (.ca) country code."
In this regard, you may recall that staff prepared a summary of selected ccTLD procedures concerning Disclosure requests for the WG some time ago. I attach it again for your review - do you think it useful or necessary to add anything to our Sub Team report concerning this suggestion?
BTW I’ve added Alex’s update to Question 1, the staff-prepared suggested update to Question 2, and the attached ccTLD summary to the Sub Team wiki page as well: https://community.icann.org/x/zoZCAw

Please find attached an updated version of the Question 2 summary document that was presented by Val to the full WG last week. As agreed, I’ve added in what I think was the WG’s agreed course of further action (where there was one) from the discussion - these are highlighted in yellow for your review. I’ve also added a title and headings as well as edited some typos and such, but otherwise I’ve not messed with the substance of the summary analysis that was in Val’s document.
It will be great if you can review this as well as the updated summary for Question 1 that Alex sent around on Friday 28 August at your earliest convenience, so that we can send agreed final versions of both documents to the full WG, preferably before the end of this week.
BTW Lindsay - thanks for checking in even while on vacation, not just on this but also on Sub Team 2!
