Hi All, The February RDRS Usage Metrics Report has been published on the RDRS page. The changes based on the Standing Committee’s feedback are summarized on page 3 and noted below: Renamed Metric 6 to Metric 6.1: Tracking disclosure request form usage for non-participating registrars. Added Metric 6.2: Tracking disclosure request form usage for participating registrars. Added Metric 17: Tracking requests for confidentiality regarding disclosure requests specifying the request type as “law enforcement”. Thanks, Lisa Carter Sr. Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Telephone: +1 310 578 8953 Email: lisa.carter@icann.org Skype: lisa.carter.icann www.icann.org
Thanks Lisa! Just to confirm, the new metric 6.2 (disclosure form for participating rrs) - is this situations when the form is downloaded and /not/ submitted through the RDRS? Hi Sarah, I’m confirming that both 6.1 (non-participating registrars) and 6.2 (participating registrars) only tracks the number of times the “export PDF” function was used and is not used to track how the form is used after download. Thanks! I'm surprised that the download form would be used for participating registrars, since the request could be submitted directly through RDRS, so it's good to know that this does actually seem to be happening. *Sarah Wyld, CIPP/E* Policy & Privacy Manager Pronouns: she/they swyld@tucows.com On 2024-03-18 10:43 a.m., Lisa Carter wrote:

Lisa, et al, The Sankey graphics that Gabe has shown us is a really big help. In addition to showing the numbers in the tabular form we're currently using, displaying them in a Sankey graphics will serve two distinct purposes. - The Sankey graphics make certain aspects of the data immediately clear and help focus discussion. - The Sankey graphics account for all of the data. That is, whenever there is an overall count that is then broken down into subcases, all of the numbers have to tally. We've already seen several examples where the counts don't quite add up, which leads to questions of whether there's a common understanding of what's being measured. Creating the Sankey graphic doesn't require any change to the system. It's just a matter of taking the data and running it through the Sankey process. If there is a glitch, it will usually indicate a problem with the data, i.e., an example of the second point above. I suspect any of us could generate the Sankey graphic if this is not something Org can or wants to do. We'll just need the data in a form suitable for input to the Sankey system.
