I am happy to serve as a Chair or Co-Chair depending on the will of the working group. For those of you that do not know me, I am J. Scott Evans. I currently serve as Associate General counsel for Adobe System Incorporated in San Jose, California where I am responsible for legal issues related to trademarks, copyright, domains and marketing. Prior to joining Adobe, I served as Global Brand Counsel for Yahoo! Inc. I also served as one of the members of the five member small drafting team that finalized the drafting of the UDRP and the Rule of Procedure for the UDRP back in 1998. In 2009, I served as a member of the Implementation Recommendation Team tasked with developing RPMs for the launch of new gTLDs. I have chaired the Working Group Guidelines working group that developed the current Working Group Guidelines and Co-Chaired the Policy and Implementation PDP Working Group. You can find a copy of my SOI at https://community.icann.org/x/IQIBAQ. In addition to my work at ICANN, I am a former president of the International Trademark Association (“INTA”) and served 9 years on INTA’s Internet committee as both a regular committee member and eventually as Chair. I believe the work this group is tasked to perform is extremely important and I pleased to see such great amount of volunteers. This enthusiasm demonstrates just how significant this work is to the internet stakeholder community. J.Scott J.
