Thanks, George - the same thing happened to me (ICANN staff) so I have asked our folks to check if there indeed is an issue on the ICANN server side. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this inadvertent “batching” may have caused. Hi folks,
I just received, in a batch, approximately 10 emails from the mailing list that were sent 5 hours ago....was there a mailing list technical issue causing some delays, or perhaps it was just me? (although, my email is handled by Google Apps, which is very reliable)
I looked at one of the email headers, and it seems the delay may have been with an ICANN server:
--- start snippet from email headers -------- Received: from mm.icann.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mm.icann.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 28FC361D8AC; Wed, 27 Apr 2016 21:49:00 +0000 (UTC) X-Original-To: gnso-rpm-wg@mm.icann.org Delivered-To: gnso-rpm-wg@mm.icann.org Received: from pechora1.lax.icann.org (pechora1.icann.org [IPv6:2620:0:2d0:201::1:71]) by mm.icann.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2EB4461D840 for <gnso-rpm-wg@mm.icann.org>; Wed, 27 Apr 2016 16:22:06 +0000 (UTC) --- end snippet from email headers --------
i.e. big gap from 16:22:06 +0000 (UTC) to 21:49:00 +0000 (UTC) within ICANN's mailing servers (pechora1.icann.org and mm.icann.org).
I hope it's an issue that is only temporary, as the mailing list becomes a less effective tool if there are large lags.
Sincerely,
