Dear Working Group members, Please find attached the latest version of the swimlane for the proposed Inter-Registrar Transfer in preparation for agenda item #3 below. This version has evolved considerably since the last time we reviewed the swimlane. The goal of this work product is to provide a visual representation of the domain transfer process and the touch points of the WG’s proposed recommendations. It’s not possible to account for every possible path of how a domain is transferred, especially those that have fringe issues preventing a transfer from completing. However, generally speaking it should account for the majority of transfer transactions in this future state. A few points to consider, which I will highlight during this agenda item: 1. Note that each task box that has a red text callout reconciles with a proposed recommendation in response to a charter question from the Initial Report. 2. I’m still challenged how to best represent the proposed recommendation with respect to the RoR MAY set the TAC to NULL. 3. This version does not represent any interactions to cure issues with a transfer between the RyO and the Gaining Registrar. Should it? Or are all issues to be cured purely an interaction with the RoR and RyO? 4. Does the WG feel this is a helpful tool to understand the proposed recommendations and should it be included with the Initial Report? Or is it too confusing and best served as just a WG tool? See you next week.
