Dear all, last night I had an interesting conversation about a potential challenge for IDNs. You thought that all of the different scripts were a challenge? Well one thing about a script, is that for most of them, they are actually quite identifiable. Now take Emojis, by popular demand! Yes, Emojis. Different interpretations of them, different types of Emojis, different colours, and a commercial pressure that is mounting for Emojis to usable in Domain names. Discussion is going on in the IDNA update working group.
