We never quite settled on this date, but I think if people can get their comments on the RFP in by Aug 13 at 20:00 UTC, that will give Paul a few days to incorporate edits and produce a new version before our Aug 19 call. I’m working on updating the action items list and will include this deadline in the updated version that I’ll share shortly. Right now it’s looking like Aug 20 or 21 might be the best day for our conference call, so perhaps we could push the deadline for RFP comments back to August 13, which then gives Paul a week to revise and get it back out to us for discussion on the call? Or anyone should feel free to suggest a better deadline — I’d just like to have one written down.

As I argued before, there is no need to rush this one as the names communities have not even constituted a body to receive it yet. I consider the RFP the most complicated and important thing we are working on right now and would firmly resist efforts to rush it through.
