Not sure whether I have formally declared this before, but I support Alissa as chair. I still adhere to the decision in London to have two additional co- or vice-chairs, though this is not perceived by me as a major issue. However, if we adopt Patrik's rules regarding consensus calls, distribution of chair authority among multiple people from different groups is probably a good idea. --MM -----Original Message----- From: internal-cg-bounces@icann.org [mailto:internal-cg-bounces@icann.org] On Behalf Of Patrik Fältström Sent: Friday, July 25, 2014 11:17 AM To: jjs Cc: ICG Internal Subject: Re: [Internal-cg] Appointment of Alissa Cooper as chair of ICG On 25 jul 2014, at 15:32, jjs <jjs@dyalog.net> wrote:

If this is really the case, that we all agree Alissa is Chair for us until further notice (according to a process that she "suddenly" is responsible for), then of course my suggested time for objection until Monday 1800 UTC is void. I was not in London, but I must say I did not see it as clear there was really consensus for her to be interim chair for longer than that meeting. My apologies for the misunderstanding. I felt, as you understand, there was a need to (re)confirm her being our leader (for now). Patrik
