Hi Kavouss, I support this. This transition is also quite a unique opportunity to further emphasize the global community aspect of this task. And, I believe that is key to the success of this effort. While it may seem odd to us that some would infer ownership of a process simply because of a domain, it does happen and happens quite often. Again, just trying to minimize confusion while striving for the best possible chance of success. Alisa has announced http://ianacg.org which is currently just redirected to the content hosted on icann.org. Do we really want to have a completely separate web site? Do we want the development of this to be part of the Independent Secretariat’s role?

Same here. And I trust the technical team behind the current setup to do the right thing. Transferring everything to a new team will mean a transition process that could lead to some instability in our communication.
