I prefer buffet rather than seated dinner. I checked with the secretariat and it looks like we could do a buffet dinner (with a glass of wine included) for $80/person, where people would be able to mingle around rather than doing a seated dinner. They had previously looked at a bunch of options in the local area but for a group of 30+ people the $83 for seated or $80 for buffet was the best price they could find since most places require catering for a group of our size.
Do others have preferences as regards to seated dinner vs. buffet with mingling?

Manal, thank you for sharing your thoughts. In my experience seated dinners only allow for a very limited interaction. An option would be preferable where free "mingling" is possible to maximise interaction. Michael
