YET ANOTHER CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: NCPH Intersessional Planning Team
by Greg Shatan Aug. 7, 2015

Aug. 7, 2015
Fellow IPC Members: There is one more organizational team we need to put together. As many of you will recall, the Non-Contracted Parties House (NCPH) of the GNSO (i.e., the Commercial Stakeholder Group and the Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group, and their respective constituencies) held an "Intersessional" meeting in Washington, DC last January/February. Each CSG Constituency sent 7 people, who were a mix of leadership and general membership. This was generally well-received and it has been budgeted for again in the 2016 ICANN Fiscal Year. Preliminary discussions of the CSG Executive Committee (ExComm) have developed a tentative proposal to have another Intersessional in January 2016, likely to be outside North America (since the last one was in North America). We will need a small team to assist in planning the Intersessional, working with members of the CSG ExComm, some members of other CSG Constituencies, NCSG members and ICANN staff. The larger team (with staff) will be able to build on the experiences of the prior Intersessionals, but much will be done from scratch (selecting city, venue, hotel(s), dates, attendees, agenda, etc.) Please reply if you are interested. Thanks! Greg

IPC Membership Meeting August 11: Preliminary Agenda and Special UDRP Presentation
by Greg Shatan Aug. 7, 2015

Aug. 7, 2015
Fellow IPC Members, I have attached a preliminary agenda for Tuesday's IPC Membership meeting at 11:30 EDT, 15:30 UTC. Please note that this meeting is set for *90 minutes*, because we are fortunate enough to have a special presentation from Brian Beckham and Ty Gray of WIPO on the revised UDRP rules. I know that many of us have had questions about the rules and I'm sure it will be very helpful to have this presentation and Q&A. The presentation is set to begin at 12:30 EDT, 16:30 UTC. Please let me know if you have any topics you may wish to cover. I look forward to speaking with you all on Tuesday, and to hearing from Brian and Ty. Greg Shatan IPC President

TR: IPC - Community Regional Outreach Pilot Program ("CROPP") for ICANN 54
by Glen de Saint Géry Aug. 6, 2015

Aug. 6, 2015
De : Winterfeldt, Brian J. [mailto:brian.winterfeldt@kattenlaw.com] Envoyé : jeudi 6 août 2015 23:48 À : ipc-gnso-bounces(a)icann.org Objet : IPC - Community Regional Outreach Pilot Program ("CROPP") for ICANN 54 Dear Colleagues: Now that the Buenos Aires ICANN meeting is behind us, I write to remind you about the ICANN Community Regional Outreach Pilot Program<https://mail.peakhostedsolutions.com/owa/redir.aspx?C=bee33f32fdac49e5a3e54…> (“CROPP”) and request your assistance in connection with the next ICANN meeting in Dublin, Ireland on October 18 – 22, 2015 (“ICANN 54”). What Is CROPP? As a reminder, CROPP represents regional economy class transportation, lodging and a $50 USD per diem for three days and two nights, provided by ICANN and booked through the ICANN Constituency Travel department. The IPC hopes to use this funding to help subsidize up to five (5) potential new IPC members from the European region so that they can attend ICANN 54. How Can You Help? Help the IPC by identifying several potential IPC members from the European geographic region<http://meetings.icann.org/regions>, so that they can apply for, and hopefully receive, this subsidy to increase our membership participation during the face-to-face ICANN meeting in Dublin and beyond. What Do Applicants Need To Do? In short, interested applicants must assist the IPC Pilot Program Coordinator in completing and submitting an application online, which will be publicly posted by ICANN. CROPP recipients must also assist in completing the post-trip assessment required by ICANN. What Is the Deadline To Apply? ICANN internal deadlines require that we submit our applications no later than Friday September 4, 2015. We have linked the complete program overview<https://community.icann.org/display/croppfy16/CROPP+Program+Elements> for your convenience. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any suggested candidates or questions. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards, Brian Brian J. ANOTHER CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: ICANN54 IPC Activities Coordination Team
by Greg Shatan Aug. 6, 2015

Aug. 6, 2015
Fellow IPC Members, We also need to put together a team to coordinate IPC activities in Dublin: - Open and closed IPC meetings - Dinner - Note-taking and Overlap Coordination We need to put together a small team to plan, coordinate and implement these activities, in addition to the CSG team. Participation in this team will also be given significant consideration when allocating IPC travel support for ICANN54. If you volunteer for both teams, please state a preference or that you really would like to be on both teams (because you are a wonderful person and/or a glutton for punishment). The substantive aspect of the Board Roundtable will *not* be handled in this group. We'll assemble a group for that based on the topics chosen by the IPC. Please reply to this email if you are interested. Thank you! Greg

CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: ICANN54 CSG Activities Coordination Team
by Greg Shatan Aug. 6, 2015

Aug. 6, 2015
Fellow IPC Members, ICANN54 in Dublin is closer than you think, and 10 weeks can go by quickly. ICANN54 is the IPC's turn to coordinate Commercial Stakeholder Group activities: - Open and closed CSG meetings - Breakfast (this time with the ALAC) - CSG/Board meeting (presumably the roundtable format again). We need to put together a small team to plan, coordinate and implement these activities. Participation in this team will be given significant consideration when allocating IPC travel support for ICANN54. Please reply to this email if you are interested. Thank you! REMINDER: There is a Webinar today for the CCWG-Accountability at 19:00 UTC. If you are in the Americas, this is the one for you. The Friday webinar is at 07:00 UTC, which is not so good for the Americas. I particularly recommend the Webinar if you are intending to draft or review the IPC Public Comment. Community feedback is requested on this 2nd draft proposal of proposed enhancements to ICANN's accountability framework that the CCWG-Accountability has identified as essential to happen or be committed to before the IANA Stewardship Transition takes place (Work Stream 1). Community feedback will help the CCWG-Accountability to improve its proposal and carry on with next steps, including Chartering Organizations' endorsement of the CCWG-Accountability output before it is submitted to the ICANN Board during or after ICANN 54 in Dublin in October 2015. In order to brief the community on the contents of their 2nd draft proposal, the CCWG-Accountability Chairs will host two identical briefing webinars on 4 and 7 August at different times to facilitate participation across time zones. The webinars will take place on: - *4 August from 19:00 – 21:00 UTC* (time zone converter here <http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=CCWG-Accountabilit…> ) - *7 August from 07:00 – 09:00 UTC* (time zone converter here <http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=CCWG-Accountabilit…> ) Webinars will be conducted in English.
