The language provided on 24 July 2023 is the version <https://community.icann.org/display/RDPIRT/RegDataPolicy+Implementation+Reso...> that has received the most IRT support to date. The only point remaining which was raised after the call was regarding 10.6.2 and the extra business day for “Complex and Large Number” of requests. There’s been conceptual discussions that were objected to but in order to meet our deadline for publishing the policy it would benefit us to review written proposals for policy language.
The criteria for a Consensus Policy is not receiving the most support, which sounds like voting, but being consensus. Anything not having consensus is not eligible for a Consensus Policy, so if consensus is not reached, the only option will be the baseline that went out for public comments, since it did reach consensus.
Therefore, I request that by Wednesday, 2 August 2023, IRT members requesting for changes submit their proposed revisions in the form of suggested policy language (redline of the 24 July 2023 version <https://community.icann.org/display/RDPIRT/RegDataPolicy+Implementation+Reso...> baseline). If no such submission is received, we will consider the last version as final and proceed to work on the publication in August.
The challenge to suggest language here is that it is not clear whether requesters would prefer a path towards answer that is shorter or the predictable path that will always take longer. Rubens
